The IOP is organizing a day trip to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, on Friday, July 7. This will be a full-day event requiring you to take time off from your internship to attend. Below are the details:

What:

IOP Day at CIA Headquarters with a tour and analytic simulation

When & Where:

• Friday, July 7, 2023
• Meet at 7:15 AM at the University of Chicago Office of Federal Relations (1730 Pennsylvania Avenue NW – coffee and pastries provided by IOP)
• Depart for CIA Headquarters at 7:45 AM
• Lunch at CIA Headquarters
• Return to UChicago Office of Federal Relations at approximately 3:00 PM

Notes:

• All students must hold US citizenship (though dual citizens are welcome)
• You will need to provide your social security number to clear security
• Guests will be unable to have any electronic devices with them (think not only phones and computers but also bluetooth headphones and smartwatches). The CIA will have lockable cubbies in their visitor center where you can leave them upon arrival
• If any students require accessibility or accommodations, let us know ASAP to put in an appropriate notice (think wireless devices, service animals, etc.)
