Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2169, Gold Room

As part of our Charles H. Percy Summer in Washington 2023 programming, the UChicago Institute of Politics will be organizing career panels during the summer hosted by our alumni based in DC. Career panels will provide UChicago students the opportunity to explore professional opportunities outside of their summer internship and a chance to network with our alumni.

Our first Alumni Career Panel is a session on Capitol Hill with the following panelists:

  • Adam Chan (College '19), National Security Legal Fellow, U.S. House Select Committee on Competition with the Chinese Communist Party
  • Alexandra Patzakis (College '22), Staff/Legislative Assistant for U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (IL-09)
  • Dylan Stafford (College '20), Deputy Communications Director, U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, Chair Patty Murray (D-WA)

Join us for light snacks and beverages while you hear from UChicago alumni on Capitol Hill about their career paths and how you as a student could get your own start in Congress. The session will be followed by a tour of the Capitol.

Make sure to RSVP soon, as this program is limited in space.
