Previously, Taylor served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs and as U.S. Senate floor leader for Leader Mitch McConnell. Taylor earned her bachelor's degrees in political science and Spanish from Bryn Mawr College.

When Dove retired from Senate service in 2020, she joined Ford Motor Company, where she led federal government relations. Dove holds a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
